Endless Slideshow Screensaver allows you to display text on top of the pictures during the slideshow. This text can include almost any information about the photo that is currently shown along with any custom text you can type yourself. For example, photo file information, like file name, full file path, size, creation date, parent or grandparent folder name as well as information from the metadata of a photo, including EXIF and IPTC tags and tags defined in Windows Explorer. You can define where to show any particular text information, select font size and color, and add an optional background and shadow.
You can see the list of all pieces of text (or text items) in Endless Slideshow Screensaver screensaver settings, [ Viewer ] tab, [ Overlay text ] section.
You can add a new text item using the [ Add ] button. If you select a text item in the list you can open and modify its properties using the [ Edit ] button. Both these buttons open the [ Overlay text properties ] window where you can set what text to display, how to display it and where to place it during the slideshow.
If you do not want to see a specific text in the slideshow - remove a corresponding text item from the list using the [ Delete ] button. This action deletes a text item permanently. If you want to keep a text item in the list but do not want to see a text from that specific item during the slideshow you can disable that item by clearing a box next to that item. This will keep the item in the list but will not show the corresponding text in the slideshow:
You can also use a [ Disable all ] button to disable all text items in the list and the [ Enable all ] button to enable all text items. By the way, you can enable and disable all text items during the slideshow using the key selected for the [ Hide/restore overlay text ] action.
The [ Reset ] button under the text items list restores the default text items and the [ Clear ] button clears the text items list by deleting every item.
The [ Show overlay text during transitions ] box allows you to control whether all text items shown inside the slideshow zones are removed before the transition starts or remain visible during the transitions. Please note that text shown outside the slideshow zones (on the monitor background) is always visible - it's a way to create permanent text for the slideshow.
